1. Professor Office Hours
Don’t be afraid to go to your professors’ office hours for course help! Large lecture halls feel impersonal, so office hours can also help you develop a closer relationship with the professors. Sometimes your TA’s will also have designated office hours, so take advantage of the extra course help.
2. Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre
Peer-Facilitated Study Groups offered by the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre offers students an enhanced learning experience beyond lectures and tutorials. These are led by students previously successful in the course and designed to facilitate the learning process, analyze study strategies, and encourage group work and collaboration. These are drop-in sessions and anyone can attend them as often as they want.
3. Book Study Rooms
Many students find it more effective to study together and ask each other questions. You can book group study rooms in the Innovation Complex, in the Library, as well as in the Instructional Building.
